Here we have our collection of Cultural Operations videos we have shot over the course of the season (so far). You will find a number of different types of machinery in service at different times of the year. We will be adding to this page often (especially as we become more proficient with the equipment), so be sure to check back soon!

More Loaders at Work
Loaders in operation stacking and moving trees to a wood chipping station. The chipped wood is then delivered to energy plants for use in generating electricity...a far better practice than burning old orchards as was done years ago.
Grinding Trees
A longer look at equipment working together to complete chipping operations at one of old orchards. We typically try to keep trees productive for 20 years and then schedule them for removal and replanting. This block of ground will be converted to a drip irrigation system and planted in early 2014.
Caterpillar D10 Ripper
A CAT D10 at work in a recently levelled block of land. This operation helps set a solid foundation for future plantings.
Cleveland Trencher
A Cleveland trencher at work so we can get a new plastic pipeline installed. the string at the bottom is acutally a guide for the operator since directional visibility is extremely limited...notice how far off to the side the driver is sitting?

JF Cultivator 01
Jackson Farms designed and constructed mechanical weed management system. We have found this system to be far more efficient and cost effective than superheating (fire) weed management, or passive control systems (doing nothing).
