Our Cling peaches are available beginning the third week in June through the first week of August.  These peaches are grown for both Certified Organic and conventional markets, with a heavy emphasis placed on the expanding Organic marketplace.
Cling peaches are far different from the typical fresh-market peach in that they do not get a deep red color at maturity, but rather a deep golden, almost orange color.
Cling peaches get their name from the fact that the peach seed, or pit, clings - rather tenaciously at times, to the surrounding fruit flesh, making it neccessary to almost always cut the pit away from the flesh in order to avoid completely destroying the fruit. Another significant difference between a 'Cling" and a freestone is that cling peaches will hold up extremly well to cooking - which makes them a perfect candidate for pies, cobblers, and canning....among many other methods of cooking or preserving.
